The front cover features a beautiful painting of the lighthouse at sunset. Inside on the left is the haunting poem, “History,” by Beaufort poet and Friends member, Liz McCaslin.
Order your lighthouse note cards by sending your check to Friends of Hunting Island. The cards cost $10 for a box of eight if we can hand deliver them. Shipping fees are $2 a box if we must mail them to you.
Proceeds from the sale of the lighthouse note cards are used for projects on Hunting Island State Park.

It is the only historic lighthouse in South Carolina open to the public. Built for the first time in 1859 and destroyed two years later by Confederate troops, the lighthouse was rebuilt after the Civil War.
